DMCA & Takedown Policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

This policy explains how takedown notices sent through Guarvian work, what they contain, and how websites, hosting providers and users can respond to them.

1. What Guarvian sends

At the request of a creator, Guarvian transmits notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), the EU Copyright Directive and equivalent national laws to the website, hosting provider or search engine where unauthorised copies of the creator's content were found. Guarvian acts as the creator's authorised agent for sending the notice; the creator remains the rights holder.

2. Contents of a notice

  • Identification of the rights holder (name or stage name) and a contact address.
  • The list of specific URLs where the content is located.
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information is accurate and that the sender is authorised to act for the rights holder.
  • An electronic signature and the date.

3. How recipients are chosen

Notices are sent to the abuse or DMCA contact published by the website, to the hosting provider identified from public records, and, for de-indexing, through the search engine's official removal process. A domain is never contacted more than a reasonable number of times per day.

4. Counter-notices and disputes

If you received a notice sent through Guarvian and believe it was sent in error (for example you hold a licence, or the content is not the creator's), reply to the notice or write to dmca@guarvian.com quoting the notice reference. We forward counter-notices to the creator who requested the notice and we do not resend a notice for a URL under dispute until the creator confirms.

5. Misuse

Creators must only request notices for content they own or are authorised to act for. A knowingly false notice exposes the sender to liability toward the recipient. Accounts that submit false claims are suspended.

6. Content on guarvian.com

Guarvian does not host user-generated media: search results are links to third-party pages and small previews used to identify them. If you believe a preview or any other material on our website infringes your rights, send a notice to our designated contact (see the DMCA agent page) and we will remove it promptly.
